The Homestead
Franklin, New Hamsphire
In 2022 we finished building our house on a 10-acre piece of property in Franklin, New Hampshire along the banks of the Pemigewasset river where we are in the process of starting a farmstead. The land itself is mostly mixed woodland with significant historical land use (logging and dairy), complete with rocky New England soils. To work along with this dynamic, we envision a mixture of permaculture and agroecological techniques, including temperate agroforestry, mushroom cultivation, livestock rearing (chickens and goats) and an intensive market garden.
