In 2021, I completed my doctoral degree in the Department of Geography at Clark University. I currently work as a lecturer in the department of Latin American, Latino and Caribbean studies at Dartmouth College. My research focuses on landscape, livelihood and labor dynamics in agricultural systems. In addition, I am a research affiliate at the Gund Institute for the Environment at the University of Vermont and a fellow with the Climate & Community Institute. I am also the co-founder of a research consulting group SocioTerra which specializes in social science research on complex socio-ecological systems.

In the past decade, I have been a fellow with both the Intergovernmental Panel for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) Nexus Assessment and with the Extension Foundation. I have also worked as a research consultant for the Caribbean Agroecology Institute, as an on-farm research manager at Philo Ridge Farm in Charlotte, Vermont, as an agricultural extension volunteer for the Peace Corps in Paraguay (2011 - 2013), and as a route setter at Central Rock Gym in Worcester, Massachusetts. On the side, I am a freelance writer of essays and fiction and am currently in the process of publishing my first novel and two collections of short stories.
